Match Analysis: Brighton & Hove Albion vs Burnley (Premier League, January 3, 2026) Brighton host Burnley at the American Express Stadium in a mid-table vs relegation battle clash. Brighton sit 14th with around 25 points from 19 games, showing solid home resilience but struggling for wins lately. They've lost just one of their last 13 Premier League home games and only one home defeat all season, making the Amex a tough venue. However, they're winless in their last six league matches (alternating draws and losses), including a recent 2-2 draw at West Ham. Burnley are in deep trouble, rooted in 19th with just 12 points from 19 games and a -17 goal difference. They've won only three times this season, are winless in their last 10 league games (eight defeats, two draws), and most recently lost 3-1 at home to Newcastle. Brightons winless run stretched to six matches after a 22 draw with struggling West Ham, a result that underlined how the congested festive schedule has taken its toll on Fabian Hürzelers side. Performances havent collapsed, but the edge has clearly been missing. They now welcome a Burnley team rooted near the bottom of the table and still short of confidence.
